How Airway Focused Orthodontics Work

Airway focused orthodontics is a new way of thinking about orthodontic treatments and what it can provide for patients.

While it may be much of the focus of orthodontics, and certainly what you think of when you consider orthodontics, Dr. Vick Cheba doesn't solely care for the health of your mouth and teeth. And airway focused orthodontics is one of the ways our treatments can begin to focus on your overall health and wellbeing.

Airway focused orthodontics involves the early identification and intervention in the physiology of the airways, ensuring that the jaw, teeth, and mouth are able to support against and perhaps prevent issues with breathing entirely.

This approach allows patients to be treated for airway problems that might otherwise be missed or might only be temporarily alleviated if not identified.

A Whole-Body Approach to Care

Everything in your body works together, and a disorder in one area could lead to problems in another.

To achieve optimal health for his patients, Dr. Vick Cheba has to consider all the different factors that might be at play. Orthodontic issues often directly cause, or are associated with, other health issues throughout your body; particularly breathing issues.

Dr. Vick Cheba is committed to his patients' overall health, not just their oral health. With each treatment, his goal is to restore and provide optimal oral and overall health to all his patients.
